About Me
Cassie Boorn is one of those digital native millenials you always hear about. Her love for the internet began around the ripe age of twelve when she discovered Yahoo chat rooms, AOL Instant Messenger and the ability to create her own space online [which may or may not have been hosted on expage]. In 2008 she launched her personal blog CassieBoorn.com where she shares glimpses of her daily life and insights on social media, Philosophy and any other topics she feels insightful on. Soon after launching her blog Cassie fell whole heatedly in love with the internet and the ability to meet, learn and grow with so many women online.
Cassie is the Social Media Coordinator at DeVries PR where she works on digital program development, program activation and blogger relations. You can also find Cassie writing a weekly column over at She Posts where she talks about the business of blogging and sometimes interviews really interesting people.
About This Blog:
Three years ago I launched this blog. I thought that I would write about motherhood. Three months in I realized I don’t know anything about motherhood. Just like everyone else I am making it up as I go along and hoping for a well rounded child…or at least a child that doesn’t resent me. Next, I thought I would write about life. Seven philosophy courses later and I realized I didn’t know anything about that either. So here I am three years later. Twenty-Four years old and still keeping up with this blog.
This blog is mostly filled with questions..maybe you will find an answer somewhere in there. I surely hope I do. I love meeting new people and will probably ask you to tell me your life story the first time we meet. Because I want to hear your stories. Because the more I learn from those around me the less I have to learn by making mistakes. I started a project and asked women to write letters to their 20 something self. Somehow it made the New York Times. You can find a full listing of press mentions below. This list is how I validate my love for the internet to my friends who have yet to understand me.
I continue to publish these letters. Please send me yours.
