Checking Them Off One By One

By

When I started this list it was to protect me from failing. I wanted to create a life list of things to complete in my lifetime. I wanted to cross them off one by one and become a more rounded person. I wanted to emulate other beautiful people checking off their life lists. I wanted to. But I was scared. I was afraid I wouldn’t finish it. I was afraid I would fail. So, I started this list. Much shorter. Semi-manageable.

But what I am finding? What I am finding is that it is really fun! It is fun to try and incorporate these things that you always wanted to do but put off for another day. It is fun to stop and say I can do this now. It is fun to feel happy, accomplished, and cross things off one by one.

Or like today….three by three…

#23 Go To A Movie Alone
This past weekend I dragged myself out to Sex and the City 2. I had wanted to see it. For.Ev.Er but wasn’t sure that I would get my friends to get together before it was out of theaters. So I did it. Alone.  This shouldn’t be a big deal but it kind of is. Because going to a movie alone makes you feel a little insecure at first. (for my anyways) What if I saw someone I knew? What if someone felt bad for this lonely girl? But I wasn’t lonely. Quite honestly I had a blast. Alone. Relaxed. I may do it again sometime…

#18 Take A Road Trip With Friends
Saturday I packed four friends into my mothers station wagon and we hit the road. (no joke). We didn’t go too far but that three hour car ride full of arguments, laughs, and reminiscing was  priceless.

#27 Go To New York
I am sitting in an airport waiting to board my flight. I will let you know how it goes…:)

Oh! And last week? I put a bid on a house…(#4)
